Guided Fly Fishing Charters

Looking for a fly fishing guide to charter coastal Georgia's local waters and estuaries for Red Drum (Redfish), Tripletail, Sheepshead, Speckled Trout and even Tarpon when they migrate up the coast from Florida?

On The Fly Outfitters offers professional chartered fly fishing trips throughout the Georgia's Golden Isles which includes Brunswick, Jekyll Island, St. Simons Island, Sea Island, Little St. Simons Island and surrounding waters.

Located in the "Atlantic bite", the Golden Isles of Georgia is the western-most point on the East Coast and has the largest tide swing south of the Bay of Fundy, Canada. This 8-10 foot average difference between high tide and low tide presents a few challenges however, it also results in a unique marsh eco-system where many species of fish thrive. Tides and weather will determine when and where we fish. One third of the marshlands along the eastern seaboard are located directly off of Georgia's coast filled with fiddler crabs, shrimp, baitfish among other tasty critters many saltwater species enjoy.

Throughout the Spring to Fall seasons, we target Redfish in the grass during flood tides, in skinny water creeks during low tide, and mid-tide edges along oyster beds and marsh flats. Tarpon can be found during the Spring when they migrate up the coast from Florida, as well as Tripletail during the Spring season, big Bull Redfish are accessible during the Fall season and other species like Flounder, Sheepshead and Speckled Trout can be pursued throughout the year. In the Winter, we continue to target Redfish, Speckled Trout, Sheepshead and Flounder.

Georgia's Golden Isles are a year-round fishery that offers excellent angling opportunities during all seasons. Give us a call at 912-342-7086 to reserve your fly fishing charter.
